Monkey Train 2007- Jeff Koons

This is the kind of art that I want to create. I have many ideas. Post Pop art. Will first start at $5,000 a piece then move up to $50,000+ per pop. I can't wait to get started. I have to do it. Anything less than fame is not worth doing.

If you want to make art, that's what you should do. If your main goal is to make money on it or achieve fame because of it, you'd probably be better off trying something else.

It doesn't usually work that way. Remember, Van Gogh probably never sold a single painting during his life. But he had a great vision, and he knew what he was doing was worthwhile (mostly knew it).

Art made solely for money or fame is often schlock. Leroy Niemann comes to mind.

Niemann. Lol. So true. His shit is furniture in my mind.

Yes,I just want to make alot of money from 'art' then be rich famous pre-humously ala Warhol, Koons, Lichenstein and serve the globalwealth from Shanghai to Minsk.

Just manufacture eye candy for $xx,xxx per pop.

Have you heard of Tara Donovan?? Check her out. She's the cousin of a good friend of mine.

She is a very well trained young sculptor. A couple of years ago, she was picked up by Pace Wildenstein, and they now rep her exclusively. (Along with Picasso, Nevelson, and others).

She did a mind boggling piece at Pace on 22nd street made of over 3 million soft-plastic transparent drinking cups. Her career (and her prices) have taken off incredibly since them. Thrilling imagination! Very nice lady. Just got married and lives quietly in Brooklyn. Totally non-impressed with her success. Just wants to work and create.
