In case you might have missed it in all the hurly-burly, the article in today's Sunday Times magazine on the YSL apartment in Paris is quite interesting. I can imagine a nice book of pictures of every room, and perhaps every item therein. I'm not sure I would buy it, but it might well make for a few pleasant afternoons in an easy chair at B&N's.
Also: while I'm at it. There's a terrific article in February "W" (the one with the pictures of B. Pitt by Chuck Close.) Page 148, "The Marchioness": about a celebrated Guinness and her "astounding" (their word) estate in N. Ireland. Quite informative, and beautiful pictures. (There's always one article, and several pictures in "W" to justify the $1.00 a month subscription charge.)
Pierce, I will definitely checkout both. I luv great images. In fact, I used to subscribe to W and Vogue for that reason and yes, the subscription prices are ridiculously well worth it. Very inexpensive as what the publisher gets in return (quid pro quo) is a wider cirulation base which increases their and thus their ad prices and thats their bread and butter.
As for the 'Botox Baby' image. I just happened to see it on a web page and really liked the image. Speifically, the gal's flawless complexion, youth, and vanity. So, I copied it on my blog and had to label it with something.
As I may have mentioned, awhile back, I plan to print out my blogs in annual batches in a book form (there are web services that do this) and distribute some to my friends who may be interested and I also want to shelve them in my library. So, I like to diversify the content of my blog as to make it more engaging when I flip through the book. If my blog books were all text, that could be boring while images from time to time (me thinkst) will make the read alittle more engaging.
LORD GORING. You see, Phipps, Fashion is what one wears oneself. What is unfashionable is what other people wear. PHIPPS. Yes, my lord. LORD GORING. Just as vulgarity is simply the conduct of other people. PHIPPS. Yes, my lord. LORD GORING. And falsehoods the truths of other people. PHIPPS. Yes, my lord. LORD GORING. Other people are quite dreadful. The only possible society is oneself.

Again, thanks for the YSL and W reference.
