Yves Saint Laurent was truly a brilliant man. His sense of proportion, color and texture -- as well as his intense originality -- were to me on a par with Matisse and VanGogh.
And who can resist the idea of his ancient "maman", wearing only the highest level of Saint Laurent couture, sitting next to Catherine Deneuve at the Saint Laurent shows in Paris, dishing up a storm. How thrilled she must have been!
